Drug Uses
Levitra pill is used for treatment of erectile dysfunction in men of different age.
How Taken
Levitra is taken if it is prescribed for you. Don’t take Levitra more than once per day. The medicine can be taken with or without food. Take the drug 60 minutes prior to sexual activity. An erection will not occur just after taking the pill. Levitra starts working when there is some form of sexual stimulation.
Missed Dose
You are not likely to miss a dose as there is no regular schedule. Take the missed dose as soon as you remember.
Storage
Store at 25 degrees C (77 degrees F); excursions permitted to 15-30 degrees C (59-86 degrees F). Keep Levitra and all medicines out of the reach of children.
Possible Side Effects
When experiencing any of the following side effects stop taking Levitra and seek for emergency help. These side effects are known as serious and uncommon ones and they are less likely to occur:
- Priapism (when erection lasts more than 4 hours); or painful erection;
- Decrease of vision, double/blurred vision;
- Severe dizziness;
- Hearing loss or ringing in ears;
- An allergic reaction (swelling of the lips, face; closing of the throat);
- Irregular heartbeat or chest pain;
- Nausea, stomach upset, or angina (numbness, pain, or tingling in the chest, arms, neck, or jaw)
Others side effects listed below are more common and less serious. There’s a bigger chance you may experience them. Continue to take Levitra and talk to your doctor:
- Headache;
- Flushing ;
- Stuffy or running nose;
- Nasal congestion;
- Diarrhea;
- Temporary abnormal vision;
- Redness, rush or itching

More Information
Levitra (Vardenafil) is available in 2.5-mg, 5-mg, 10-mg, and 20-mg tablets. The starting dose is 10 mg. Other brand formulations may also be available. Ask your doctor or a pharmacist any questions you have about the medication.
