NPCNYS Statewide Housing Conference: Healthy Homes & Communities

The Neighborhood Preservation Coalition of New York State will hold its 2011 Conference on Affordable Housing and Community Development on October 27 and 28, 2011. The conference is sponsored by the New York State Division of Housing and Community Renewal and the University at Albany School of Public Health.
Featured speakers will include: Miriam Axel-Lute, Shelterforce editor, Darryl C. Towns, commissioner/CEO of NYS Homes Community Renewal, and Adolpho Carrion, Jr., regional administrator for New York and New Jersey at HUD.
The conference will examine:
- Ways we are building New Yorks future by revitalizing communities throughout the State.
- Green building strategies and community revitalization efforts.
- Innovations in planning, development and preservation in todays housing industry that will improve health outcomes.
- Ideas, tips, and approaches with fellow industry professionals and experts during our networking lunches and workshops.
- Solutions for all areas of sustainable healthy communities, including environmental, transportation, and food policy.
